Johnson Controls is currently seeking an Area Sales Engineer to lead the sales of industrial refrigeration and heat pump projects in the Zealand region. Your responsibilities will include:
As an Area Sales Engineer at Johnson Controls, you will play a critical role in driving our business development within the refrigeration and energy segment. Working closely with colleagues in the sales team, you will contribute to the further growth of our existing business in Denmark. This will involve identifying and understanding customer needs, ensuring smooth sales processes, and building strong relationships with clients and consultants in the Zealand area.

In this position, we expect you to take personal leadership during the sales phase and effectively manage the technical and commercial aspects of projects. This will include conducting customer visits and participating in project reviews to ensure successful outcomes. Moreover, you will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction among existing clients, and establishing a solid foundation for new business opportunities.

Based at our Roskilde office, you will report directly to the Sales Manager of the region. This collaborative and dynamic environment will provide you with the support and resources needed to excel in your role.

Your tasks will include:

  • Driving project sales for existing and potential customers, as well as consultants, primarily within the refrigeration and heat pump segment

  • Proactively expanding our customer portfolio through networking and targeted sales initiatives

  • Providing technical advice and conducting needs assessments to assist customers in making informed solution choices

  • Creating and preparing proposal materials

  • Collaborating with the service department to support existing service customers

  • To be successful in this role, you should possess :

  • A relevant educational background, ideally combined with commercial sales experience or hands-on experience in selling/advising on technical solutions within the energy sector

  • A commercial mindset and a drive to identify and new opportunities with both existing and potential clients

  • A strong professional network in the Zealand region and the ability to thrive as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced global organization

  • The ability to identify opportunities and limitations in customer systems and needs

  • Experience in project sales and/or project execution would be advantageous

  • Excellent communication and IT-skills, with fluency in both Danish and English, as well as proficiency in Office software, calculation tools, and CRM systems
