As an Automation Engineer with dsm-firmenich you will be part of a team that plays a key role in significantly increasing the company’s HMO (Human Milk Oligosaccharides) production in years to come. Core and project responsibilities

With reference to the Technical Manager, you will have the opportunity to continuously learn and develop while working on upgrading and optimizing the automation platform at the dsm-firmenich factory in Esbjerg. This includes monitoring the operation of the platform, programming, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis while ensuring that changes comply with policies, procedures, and strict safety standards.

Your core responsibilities will be to ensure the operational functionality of the automation platform, including defining and programming minor changes, becoming a specialist in complex problem-solving, ensuring implementation of changes in accordance with applicable procedures, and ensuring that the automation system is designed to support the business. 

In projects, you will be part of the project design team as the automation and process control lead. This role will include developing and ensuring compliance with Technical and User Requirement Specifications while also managing scope, schedule, and budget within the A&PC discipline (Automation & Process Control).

Motivation and ambition

You hold a B.Sc. in Engineering or maybe you are an Automation Technologist, or similar, supplemented with practical experience. You have experience in programming with PLC, preferably Siemens Tia Portal, and SCADA, preferably Aveva Systems Platform. Furthermore, you have knowledge and basic understanding of S88, batch control design philosophy and experience with OT networks and Cyber Security. Experience from the food or process industry will be a further advantage. You are fluent in both Danish and English, both verbally and written.
