In this unique and meaningful role as Biological Evaluation Specialist, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.
At our offices in Ballerup, you will join a team of 10 diverse and dedicated colleagues within our team of Materials & Reliability Development. Together we share the ambition of supporting our business with timely, highly efficient state of the art biological evaluations. We are ensuring the biological safety, maximum durability, and highest quality of our medical devices.
We are now expanding our team to meet the need for chemical and biological evaluation of our increasingly ambitious portfolio of products under development. Hence, we are now looking forward to welcoming you to become our colleague in this part time opportunity.
Scheduled weekly hours: - with flexibility to arrange the working hours to fit your individual situation.
Your contribution is appreciated, as your primary role will be to perform biological evaluations of our products.
You will learn to see the potential regulatory risks of all our parts included in our hearing aids. Together with your material expert colleagues, this enables us to help in the development process by selecting the right materials that pose the smallest risk from a health- and safety perspective.
More specifically, you will be:
Preparing biological evaluation plans and reports
Compiling available data on materials, processes, use and degradation over lifecycle
Performing biological risk assessment of materials and processes
Coordinating with external chemical and biological testing labs (CROs)
Reporting on biocompatibility studies and carry out toxicological risk assessment
To succeed in the role, we imagine that:
You thrive in a position where you compile relevant information by reaching out to internal and external stakeholders across different expertise areas. Ideally, you have already worked with biological evaluation prior, or you are interested in developing your skills within biosafety, toxicology, chemical risk assessment, and medical devices.
Furthermore, you:
Are a Chemical Engineer or hold a MSc within the field of Biology
Are well-versed in polymer chemistry or biology, possibly from previous positions in R&D or manufacturing
May have worked with biological evaluation prior or have other relevant experience within , medical devices or pharma/life-science
May have knowledge and experience within toxicology or risk management
Are fluent in English
