Stauning Whisky has revived the traditional craft methods that disappeared with modern whisky production, using only locally grown grain, which floor malt at the distillery and distill in small copper pot stills over an open fire.

In 2018, Stauning Whisky moved into a newly built distillery. A building filled with innovative engineering and a dramatic expression that draws on decades of tradition of classic Danish design and architecture.

Stauning Whisky is growing, with sales in new countries, which means changes are part of everyday life.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Business Development Manager in Paris, we expect you to reinforce & grow Stauning Whisky´s position, by inspiring our customers, consumers (current & potential) and representatives.

The purpose is to bring Stauning Whisky to life in targeted retailers, bars, and events in Paris, with the aim of creating lifelong advocates of the brand through successful account management and activations.

You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about what they do, but happy to help each other and do whatever it takes to make things happen.

Location: Paris

You will report to our Head of Sales, UK and France

Your key responsibilities and tasks will be:

  • Be the day-to-face of Stauning Whisky in Paris
  • Utilize your Paris network to build an army of advocates and our new circle of Stauning Whisky drinkers
  • Drive Excellence in DVA (distribution, visibility, activation) across the Paris Market, with main focus on Cavistes and presence in relevant on-trade accounts (80 Off-Trade/20% On-Trade).
  • Focus on sampling and in-store activations with all retail accounts
  • Support our distribution partner to ensure the Stauning share of voice remains high
  • Help manage the future KAOS Club accounts, providing exemplary account management
  • Achieve new listings in independent Cavistes
  • Perform barrel-top samplings in different stores
  • Regular reporting and various ad-hoc tasks in the sales department

What we expect from you:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, and/or a solid field experience in a similar position.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or trade marketing roles in the Paris area, ideally in spirits
  • Experience in adjacent drink categories (i.e. premium wines/champagnes) or trade roles will be considered.
  • Understanding of market trends, consumer behaviors and capacity to translate them into sales oriented actions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and partners to optimize our brand performance.
  • Strong IT skills
  • You are fluent in French and English, other languages like German and Danish will be a plus for the role.

You have a solid hands-on approach with attention to details, you can work independently, not afraid to take responsibility and follow the tasks through to completion. You are systematic, structured, and have an analytical approach. In addition, you are characterized by your flexibility, good communication and collaboration skills.

As a person, you are positive and outgoing, you are a team player with a collaborative mindset, a good colleague who helps make it super fun to come to work. You have a high drive and thrive like a fish in the water with a busy everyday life where deadlines can be short.

You are passionate about what you do, you are curious and innovative, authentic, you behave with decency and not least you are financially responsible.
