Developing new plant-based products that consumers love, and that are competitive with industrially-produced meat, is a key element of the transition towards a green economy and a regenerative way of life. Your role
As CEO, you will be the leader of Foodture and responsible for leading the company day-to-day, as well as crafting longer-term plans for growth and expansion. The main topics on the agenda are increased commercial traction, scaling up of the production set-up, product development in close collaboration with customers, and articulating a compelling vision for the company that will enable future capital raises.
You will be leading interactions with the other key employees and the Board of Directors, be in charge of scaling up team, and communicating the story of Foodture to the outside world – in Denmark and beyond.
You are
You are highly motivated to make a great impact and have commercial success. You can say yes to the following:
Experience from working in the food industry (or a similar industry).
Strong sales and marketing experience and 3+ years of track record as a commercial leader.
Communication skills to lead commercial development,and business development.
Well-rounded business experience, including managing budgets and financing; ability to take full responsibility towards the Board for all aspects of the company’s operations.
Experience with people management.

About Foodture
Foodture’s product is a version of tempeh made from locally-sourced legumes which are fermented and then prepared as blocks, cubes, patties or in a shredded version. The product is used currently mainly in food service applications, but there are many other possibilities. Several product development efforts are ongoing, including collaborations with Aarstiderne and Noma. There is a real sense of momentum in the category, with a high pace of innovation and competition. The environmental footprint of tempeh is very low compared to red and white meat, but also compared to most other meat alternatives on the market today.
The company has a production facility in Svinninge, but will probably need to re-locate in the near future in order to further scale up production.
There are strong customer relationships in place, especially with Danish foodservice companies. Revenue last year was around DKK 3m, and should expand significantly in the next 2-3 years. There are 5 employees in the company today.
The owners have strong networks in the Danish food industry and are committed to the success of Foodture.
