CFO (m/f/d) for our portfolio entity

Fidelium is an operational investor. Unlike most financial investors, we look for companies that are currently facing significant operational challenges. Growth and stable cash flows are our goal, but rarely in place already. Our objective is to improve the business and secure its long-term growth.

To achieve this, we work closely with the management teams, providing active operational support. Rather than periodic monitoring or occasional appearances on an advisory board, we draw on our long experience to provide hands-on assistance with specific issues. We also act as a sounding board for new ideas on strategy and business development. We offer particular expertise in the areas of sales and financing, efficiency enhancement, and the implementation of buy-and-build strategies. Our role also often involves providing active support for the carve-out of business units and their subsequent transformation into independent SMEs.

We are actively recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (m/f/d) for one of our esteemed portfolio entities.

Tasks

• You lead the team of 4-5 employees and undertake the managerial as well as disciplinary oversight of the domains encompassing Finance and Controlling.
• You are in charge of coordinating the annual budgeting, financial planning, and capital planning processes. Furthermore, you are responsible for the financial projection consolidation and submission and acts as a key player in the strategic planning and other business planning processes.
• You lead and oversee all accounting and transactions, including monthly and annual closure procedures processes.
• The further development of controlling processes, accounting processes, and team members is also among your responsibilities.
• In your capacity as a member of the management team, you engage in close collaboration with other specialized departments, Fidelium Operating Partners and external partners such as tax consultants, financial institutions and auditors, ensuring smooth collaborations and compliance with legal requirements.
• Must: You have experiences in the Danish Finance structure and Finance administration.

Requirements

• Holds a completed degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification, underpinning qualifications with practical experiences and successes in overseeing the commercial operations of an industrial enterprise (ideally Automotive experiences).
• With at least 10 years of professional experience in industry, management consulting or in a restructuring environment, you have proven that you can set ambitious goals and then achieve them. And you have made enough mistakes to also see humility as a virtue.
• Proficient in accounting and controlling (must: Danish Finance knowledge), backed by extensive professional experience, along with a proven track record of leading and developing teams over multiple years.
• Demonstrated competence in both technical and organizational aspects, showing exceptional communication skills.
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment, demonstrating a structured and solution-oriented working approach.Exhibits a sense of individual responsibility, embraces holistic thinking, possesses a hands-on mentality, and displays a keen interest in tackling new challenges.
• Speaks fluent English (a plus would be fluent in Danish)
