About the Transformational Prevention Unit
We all know that obesity is a healthcare crisis affecting all parts of society. But Imagine a future where people can know if they are at risk of developing obesity and know exactly when – and how – to intervene to prevent it. Novo Nordisk aims to defeat obesity by delivering solutions that not only treat the disease after it manifests, but also can predict and prevent obesity in the first place. That is why we have established the Transformational Prevention Unit (TPU) — a first of its kind within Novo Nordisk spanning both Commercial and R&ED functions.
The Position
As the Transformational Prevention Unit (TPU) Communications Lead, you will have the following key responsibilities:
You will be part of an ambitious and highly skilled team of experts that work with external partners to develop and rapidly test prototype products (or sub-components of products which either assess risk and response, communicate metabolic health, intervene biologically, or intervene behaviorally) to predict and prevent obesity.
You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President, Head of the Transformational Prevention Unit, becoming an essential member of the TPU team. Your preferred work location will be in Søborg, Denmark or the UK; however, you can also work remotely from another Novo Nordisk location. The role may require some occasional travel and you will be expected to connect with colleagues from around the world on a regular basis.
Qualifications
We are looking for a team member with great interpersonal skills who can interact effectively with all levels of management, as well as with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. This individual must also be able to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
You are a strong, proactive communicator with excellent writing skills, and you thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. Being a team player with a good sense of humour and ability to think out of the box are also great assets.
The ideal candidate would be based in Denmark, the UK or US and has a master’s degree in Communication, Business, Public Relations, Public Health or Journalism and 5 + years of working experience within the area of corporate communication. Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
