Early Career 2024 - Casualty Underwriting Analyst

AIG is currently looking for a Casualty Underwriting Analyst to join our Nordic Casualty team and be part of our Global Graduate program. The position will be based at our office in Copenhagen and report into our Nordic Head of Casualty Underwriting. 

Underwriting

AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. AIG Nordic Casualty team

We are a team of eight experienced casualty underwriters in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm. In the Casualty Team we insure midsized to large corporations in all four Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway). We handle Liability Insurance (General Liability and Product Liability), Recall Insurance and CPI (Contaminated Product Insurance) and EIL (Environmental Impairment Liability).

We work closely with insurance brokers in each of our markets and we are in close contact with stakeholders throughout AIG both locally and internationally.

Selection of Key Responsibilities

• Together with senior underwriters in the field, work on assessing insurance risks and pricing

• Build relations with key brokers and clients in the area

• Developing new business and work together with senior UWs in targeting new business

• Negotiate with clients and brokers around pricing and risks

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for a team player who will enjoy a position that mix analytical and relationship building aspects, and to be part of a global team as well as program. 

• Master or bachelor’s degree in law, Economics, Business or similar

• Interest in working in a global environment

• Good analytical and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in any Nordic language and English
