You will bring positive attitude and transformational mind-set to the Markets Front Office Tribe and join our great team as eFX Lead Developer and Java Chapter Lead in Danske Bank.

The Markets Front Office Tribe plays an important role in Danske Bank and we have brought together Quant and IT professionals into a collaborative development organization, which is anchored directly in the Markets business. You will work together with dedicated colleagues in a global team characterized by an inclusive and professional culture. 

About the role   

As developer, you will be part of our eFX squad that has ownership of Danske Markets best in class eFX platform. The platform comprise Pricing, Distribution, Quoting, Order Management, Sales Trader workflows and Auto Hedging. The eFX squad is co-located with the business on the trading floor and therefore, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills to leverage business from an end-to-end perspective and work closely together with our business, primarily traders and sales.

At the same time, you will be Chapter Lead for Java developers that are located in the eFX squad as well as our Digital Sales & Research squad. You will lead the chapter by coaching and mentoring the developers and ensure a good work environment with a culture that promotes both teamwork, transparency and empowerment. 

What you will do  

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to bridge teams and domains in order to work as one team
  • Support our continuing digital transformation by building solutions in line with the business strategy
  • Create an encouraging and collaborative environment through inclusive and empowering leadership
  • Serve as a “coach & player” spending part of your time on managing your Chapter by advising on how to complete tasks in the best possible way. You will spend remaining part of your time as a developer in a Squad delivering value by completing tasks 
  • Define engineering guidelines incl. practices to improve the work of chapter 
  • Carry the HR responsibility for your Chapter members, as they will report to you as their line manager. This includes classical HR responsibilities, performance reviews, trainings, recruitment activities 
  • As a professional, you enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment and have the ability to ensure flexibility in the digital solutions to change and adapt the systems. You will be collaborating and using your development skills with the squad and business.
