Do you want to play a role in changing the global energy sector? In moving the world forward   — from black to green?  Join our team as a Tool Specialist and help us lead the way in renewable energy solutions.

Your position
In your new position as Electrical Engineer, Tool Specialist you will join our fast-growing Renewables Division. Together, we have delivered one of the largest project portfolios of offshore substations across Europe, Taiwan, and the USA - so you can expect to be involved in exciting projects with a global scope.

More specifically, you will be part of our Low Voltage team whose mission is to deliver low voltage systems for EPC projects and tenders. Despite the teams’ primary focus on low voltage (LV), your responsibilities extend beyond that scope. Here, you will serve as the primary Tool Specialist for projects utilizing the engineering tool COMOS across the entire engineering discipline.

Your place of work can be from one of our offices in Copenhagen or Esbjerg, Denmark, or Gdynia, Poland, depending on your preference. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 10-30 days per year as your presence at our various offices across the world may occasionally be required.

As part of the Semco Maritime Renewables team, you will experience an informal environment that values freedom and trust, as we believe that this approach leads to sustainable performance. With plans to double our activities in the coming years, every day at Semco Maritime presents an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve results through a shared commitment to professionalism and dedication. We believe in working together as a team and achieving success as a group,” says Stefan Åkesson, Head of Low Voltage.

Your tasks & responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer and Tool Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and administering the Siemens COMOS engineering tool used within the organisation. This role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of engineering software, supporting users, and optimizing tool performance to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Administer and maintain engineering tool Siemens COMOS within the organization.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users of engineering tools.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address tool-related issues and requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for users to optimize their utilization of engineering tools.
  • Develop and implement best practices for engineering tool administration and usage.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in engineering tools and technologies.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of new engineering tools and software solutions.

Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative team player who is passionate about renewable energy projects and wants to leave their personal mark on it. You have a proactive and solution-oriented approach to your work and are eager to contribute to the success of the projects.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field experience.
  • Experience in administering Siemens COMOS or other similar engineering tools and software.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in various engineering tools and software packages.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
