Experienced Commercial Lead - Quantum Foundry

Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is looking for an experienced commercial lead with a strong technical or scientific background to take QFs innovations to the market.

Do you want to be a part of pioneering quantum computing in a world-class quantum ecosystem in the heart of Copenhagen? Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.

Our mission is to establish a foundry capable of manufacturing quantum processor units using novel UHV methods that meet the extreme requirements for purity and precision that are needed to bring Quantum Computing to scale.

In close collaboration with the NNF Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, and other international quantum computing initiatives, the objective is to pioneer UHV-based fabrication and packaging methods for manufacturing state-of-the-art quantum processors. Quantum Foundry Copenhagen has novel and ambitious approaches including the use of UHV, in-situ fabrication and will also develop new tools and techniques for chip production.

Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is assembling a small and growing team of talented and diverse international professionals. We are located adjacent to the Niels Bohr Institute in the heart of Copenhagen. Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is part of a vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem and collaborates closely with world-leading researchers in the NQCP quantum computing program that will facilitate and drive research and innovations at multiple levels – from developing scalable quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.

The Job

In your new role you will be working on the commercialization of technologies and products developed by Quantum Foundry Copenhagen based on our capacity to produce ultra-pure materials in UHV and our innovative approach to tools development. The products will be developed for the market in close collaboration with process and tools development engineers and you will coordinate tasks in the teams, develop production plans and secure smooth execution. You will use your commercial expertise to identify the best opportunities and your technical background to work closely with engineers and physicists to create marketable products.

Your duties and tasks will include:

• Identify high potential products among QF’s innovations
• Take innovations from prototypes to marketable products
• Secure internal coordination and communication among QF teams
• Working with customers and suppliers to increase quality and usability

Professional and Personal Qualifications

To succeed in the role you have:

• A master’s degree in engineering, physics, nano technology or related
• Extensive commercial experience from the private sector
• Deep knowledge of developing salable products and taking them to the market
• Strong ability to coordinate processes, including production plans
• Knowledge on quantum technology and material science

Further, you are a strong collaborator with great communication skills. Your colleagues would describe you as analytical, structured and curious. You are a team-player and work to develop the best solutions with input from highly skilled colleagues in interdisciplinary fields.
