We are looking for a Global Buyer for our Strategic Procurement Department. You will be reporting to the Global Commodity Manager and will be responsible for executing the strategy for the Large Steel Fabrication
How to contribute to our vision
As a Global Buyer, you will work with strategic activities in relation to purchasing from external suppliers of Siemens Gamesa.
In this position, your main responsibilities will be:
Implementing Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings by using TCO approach.
Identify and resolves complex problems cross-functionally.
Screen the market for new Supplier.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
The ideal candidate has already some experience in direct Material Purchasing and/or Supply Chain and a relevant technical and/or commercial education (at least bachelor's degree). If you have experience with the Siemens Gamesa business and our way of working, it will be an advantage.
To be successful in this role you preferable:
Have experience in executing strategies that materialize in effective tactics.
Know how to build long-term relationships.
Track record of achieving cost reductions for external spend.
Are a team-player with the ability to work independently.
Have strong English at negotiation level both written and spoken. Speaking Spanish or German would be a plus.
Have great skills in Office Package. SAP or/and Ariba would be a plus.
Have the flexibility to travel when it will be needed (> 20%).
