Head of Design

At Ageras we help micro businesses focus on what they do best, by providing simple business administration software.

We are a pure provider of SaaS software for thousands of small businesses in Europe. We run multiple products in major European markets and we are in the process of consolidating all our brands towards the Ageras brand. Our design team has 7 product designers, a website designer and a graphical designer. As head of design, your task is make sure the team loves to go to work, and our designs continue to be user centered and beautiful. 

Who are we looking for?

• A goal oriented design visionary, who feels comfortable working across mobile and desktop apps with 100.000+ active customers.
• A team player that wants to grow the skill set of 7 product designers, 1 website designer and 1 graphical designer. 
• A hands on design enthusiast who wants to be part of the setting the group design and brand direction in close collaboration with the design team and stakeholders. 
• An advocate for a user-centric design approach that aims to solve problems without sacrificing aesthetics.
• A person that wants to contribute to our very flat and fun organization. You feel intrigued by the story of which coworker got locked in at the local waterpark the entire weekend. 
• A leader not a manager.

As head of design, you’ll play a key role in our design team. You’ll be responsible for a group of great product and website designers, who all value transparency and trust. You’ll be setting the design and brand direction together with the team for our main product and platforms. As we’re currently consolidating our brands into Ageras, so change management will be important to master.

On a day-to-day basis, we expect you to be both hands-on providing guidelines, direction and structure to the team, while still stepping in to solve real problems for our users. Our team is organized in domains, where product designers, product managers and developers work together to solve real problems. You most likely understand and have read the works of Marty Cagan, and believe this is the best way to discover and deliver amazing products. 

Your weapon of choice is of course Figma, but you also understand tools like Maze, Hotjar, and recognize that if you aren't talking to the customers, then you know nothing. 

What we ask of you: 

• You can have any educational background within design. Anything works, we’re not judging.
• We expect you have 2+ years of experience leading a team of designers.
• You trust your colleagues to be responsible, with strong work ethics, and thus spend your time building and mentoring the talents, not overseeing their work.
• You are most likely structured and have tons of experience working in Figma. 
• You must be fluent in English and can talk the language of designers, engineers and product people
• You have an independent workstyle with a collaborative team spirit and thrive when you see the team succeeding. 
• You are eager to learn and develop in a fun work environment, where social relationships are valued highly. 
• You're an office person and want to work from our fabulous Copenhagen office.
