We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Compliance Specialist who will take on the role as Healthcare Compliance Business Partner and provide solution-oriented assistance to the business with the primary focus on ensuring compliant promotional and scientific exchange as well as engagements.

As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our Corporate Compliance Program and all that it entails. You will be joining the Compliance team which in addition to Compliance and Data Privacy works with Enterprise Risk Management, Trademarks and P|ESG.

As we are a small team, it is important that you thrive in a role where no tasks are too small or too big to handle.

You will report directly to Isabell Jensen, SVP, Compliance, Risk & Corporate Responsibility, who is based in Hellerup, Denmark. You will be located in the Hellerup office as well.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Support our Healthcare Compliance work in our Direct Markets.
• Ensure accurate legal reviews of promotional and scientific exchange to mitigate the risk of legal and economic sanctions through a risk-based, proactive approach.
• Coordinate country-specific reviews of materials in countries where Ascendis Pharma has no local presence.
• Develop, update and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate to create a culture of compliance.
• Provide insight into external industry and compliance environment and recommend best practices and process improvements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance training consistent with Ascendis Pharma policies, applicable laws, and industry standards.
• Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and industry standards in the healthcare field.
• Conduct Compliance monitoring.

Qualification and skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a master’s degree in law – and have substantial Healthcare Compliance experience from an international, multi-cultural environment. Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of healthcare laws are required.

Furthermore, we expect you:

• Have experience with document and information management systems.
• Are proficient within promotional and scientific exchange compliance, and the requirements and standards under relevant legislation and industry standards such as he IFPMA, EFPIA and ENLI.
• Have worked with healthcare compliance and legal reviews for at least 5 years.

Travelling: 10-15 days per year.
