Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian Cuisine Specialist Chef to join our team in Denmark. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a chef, with a strong background in Indian cuisine, particularly in preparing curries and rotis. This role will primarily involve working in a fast-paced environment within an Indian restaurant setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, and traditional bread like rotis.
  2. Work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment, managing multiple orders and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
  3. Design and develop innovative menus that showcase the diversity of Indian cuisine while considering local preferences and seasonal ingredients.
  4. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to create appealing and visually stunning plating presentations that enhance the dining experience.
  5. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices at all times, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations.
  6. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on Indian cooking techniques, recipe execution, and menu development.
  7. Manage inventory levels and assist in procurement to ensure availability of fresh ingredients and essential spices for Indian cooking.
  8. Stay updated on current food trends, culinary techniques, and traditional Indian recipes to continually enhance the restaurant's offerings.

 

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience working as a chef, with a specialization in Indian cuisine.
  2. Proficient in preparing a wide range of Indian dishes, with expertise in curry and roti making.
  3. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  4. Previous experience working in an Indian restaurant setting is preferred.
  5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  6. Creativity and passion for food, with the ability to design innovative menus and present dishes attractively.
  7. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
