Your role
The Interface Engineer is part of the Engineering Team of one of our projects and is responsible for the control and management of technical interfaces between both permanent and temporary works, the support to package managers and engineering leads in the management of information flow and contractual documentation across the project and directly reports to the Engineering Manager.
Your future plans
As Interface Engineer you will:
Continuously support work packages in identification of technical interface risks and facilitation of interface issue resolutionDevelop, apply and maintain interface management tools and monitoring processes, including those for scope management and for interface documentation transferEnsure the compatibility of technical specifications and scope throughout the design phase, in supply contracts and during manufacturingCoordinate engineering work between the packages in close collaboration with the Project Managers and Discipline Engineers, as well as with the Certification Engineer, with due regard to project scheduleCommunicating interface risk to the Engineering and Package Managers and other relevant project stakeholdersCoordination of regular interface meetings with suppliers and work packagesPlanning and implementation of work packages such as mock‐ups, test pieces and trials required for design developmentEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice
Your profile
Professionally qualified to degree level in a relevant Engineering or related disciplineExperience in delivery of large projects with multiple interfaces between work packages and technical disciplinesExperience and knowledge of the offshore wind industryWell organised with excellent communication and record keeping skillsVery good coordination skills, highly motivated, competent and resourceful with an eye for detailsIntercultural communication and negotiation skillsCommercially aware with experience of contract negotiation and managementA flexible approach to work and willingness to travel in Europe and the UKReliable team player, self-starting and highly motivatedAbility and interest to work offshore to go offshore (e.g. BOSIET / HUET & EBS)
