Our client are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a long-term contract basis. In this on-site role, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective movement of pharmaceutical products for a major project. Prior experience working within a pharmaceutical or similar environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Logistics Manager in developing and implementing the project's logistics plan. Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including order processing, shipment scheduling, and carrier coordination. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping documents, adhering to strict compliance standards (e.g., GDP, IATA). Maintain accurate inventory records for pharmaceutical products within the warehouse, ensuring proper temperature control and quality control procedures. Track and monitor shipments, providing updates and resolving any transportation issues. Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., manufacturing, regulatory) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, carriers) to ensure smooth logistics flow. Assist with data entry and maintain logistics databases. Prepare reports on logistics activities and identify potential areas for improvement. Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field. Prior experience working within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar controlled environment is a strong plus. Excellent understanding of basic logistics principles, including transportation modes, documentation requirements, and inventory management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
