We are now expanding our team with a Medical Advisor in our Respiratory & Immunology team in the Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit. This field-based role is located in Denmark and offers the unique opportunity to develop and implement our medical-scientific strategy specifically for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The successful candidate will join a dedicated medical team, reporting to the Therapeutic Area Lead, Respiratory & Immunology, Denmark.
The role
In this field-based Medical Advisor role, you will be responsible for driving initiatives focused on improving clinical practice of COPD in both primary care and specialty care clinics. A core element of this role is to develop professional relationships with various Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and decision makers in Denmark, driving improvement in healthcare systems and patient pathways by collecting and sharing medical and scientific knowledge. You will work in close collaboration with commercial colleagues to develop and deliver high quality educational initiatives, such as webinars, on COPD. You will be a core partner for internal multidisciplinary teams and decision making as a scientific specialist in COPD, and you will work with pipeline products from an early stage and provide medical expertise to product strategies, cross-functional plans and activities.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree, preferably Master’s Degree, in life sciences or a related area
- Experience in field-based Medical Affairs, minimum 2-3 years, specifically in-clinic education
- A pro-active approach, a can-do attitude and motivation driven by engaging external partners (e.g. HCPs)
- Knowledge of spirometry and COPD is considered an advantage, but not required
- Knowledge of the Danish Healthcare System
- Excellent presentation and communications skills, both in Danish and English
- Ability to travel (within Denmark on a frequent basis and occasional international travel to congresses and internal meetings)
- Driver’s license required

While not essential, any additional skills or experience in the field would be beneficial.
