Nordic RCC is looking for a Product Owner (Engineer)

We are looking to recruit a Product Owner for the Nordic RCC tool used for flow-based capacity calculation and common grid model – two of the core services provided by Nordic RCC.

Nordic RCC – supporting security of supply and the green transition

Nordic RCC provides calculations and recommendations to the four Nordic Electricity Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Energinet, Fingrid, Statnett and Svenska Kraftnät. The main aim of the services is to ensure transparency and help the TSOs with operational planning to ensure continued security of supply with an increase of renewables in the system.

In short: We play a small but important part of enabling the green transition.

Key responsibilities:

• Understand the scope of the two services flow-based capacity calculation and common grid modelling.
• Refine the tool roadmap, pipeline, and backlogs with the input from service development needs as well as with the vendor, local development, and Architects
• Ensure alignment across Regulation, Methodologies, Services, Products, Operations and Business value
• Together with a project manager, refine, manage, and prioritise development roadmap in alignment with system- and enterprise architects and NRCC architecture to maximise product business value
• Ensure continuous improvement in applications including an extensive focus on users / Operator needs and change management
• Track development to product roadmap (pipeline and backlog) and identify opportunities for rationalisation, simplification, and quality improvement.
• Monitor and report on end-to-end product delivery proactively.

The list of tasks will develop over time, and you will work together with the Capacity Team Lead to structure the role, so it fits your profile and career development.

Open-minded, international mindset and excellence in power system engineering

You hold a MSc degree or equivalent higher education ideally in Electrical Engineering with strong focus on power systems and electricity markets. Alternatively, another educational background but work experience as product owner within the energy industry would be accepted. Ideally, you have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in industry or research.

You are structured and can appreciate a fast-paced environment from time to time. On a personal level you are open-minded, team-oriented and take responsibility.

Nordic RCC is an international office, so fluency in spoken and written English is required as well as a motivation for working in an international environment.
