Your future People & Culture team
The People & Culture Department consists of 8 colleagues. We support Vivino in People Operations, Talent Acquisition, IT, and Office Management. Most of your colleagues are in our Danish office in Copenhagen, and two are in San Francisco, California. We are a savvy team that continually strives to improve efficiency to support Vivino and all its employees. We take pride in working with the latest trends within our area of responsibility.

 

Be our go-to for all DK and EU-related People Operations
Join our team as a People Operations Specialist! We're seeking a dedicated professional to provide crucial HR support, navigate legal requirements, and ensure compliance, with a focus on our employees in Denmark and Europe.

To summarize a typical week in this role, responsibilities will include managing benefits, salaries, and HR-related queries, facilitating work permits, contracts, vacation rules, reimbursements, onboarding, offboarding, and overseeing maternity and sick leave. A big part of the tasks related to this position entails HRIS administration, report generation, policy management, and data clean-up.

Furthermore, your key responsibilities across these areas of focus can be summarized as follows:

  • Ensure compliance with vacation rules, working closely with employees to address inquiries and discrepancies
  • Approve payroll runs and verify the accuracy of payroll data before processing
  • Handle HR operations for Danish and EU employees, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations
  • Administer benefits programs, facilitate work permit processing, and manage leave and reimbursement procedures
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from contract drafting to onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Proficiently utilize HRIS systems to streamline operations and maintain accurate employee records

In this position, you will report directly to our VP of People and Culture, who is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. As this position often requires a physical appearance, we anticipate you will work most of your hours from the vibrant Copenhagen office.

We also hope to see that you have and can demonstrate:

  • Several years of experience in payroll management, including vacation rules
  • Knowledge in legal compliance related to employment law, primarily in Denmark
  • Experience with filing official documentation about different leave types
  • System wizard skills in terms of on/offboarding and
  • High proficiency in handling Danish and international employment contracts
  • Employee data management and the best practice use of an HRIS
  • Profound understanding of work permits, benefits, and reimbursements
