We offer a one-year with the possibility to extend to two-years Postdoc position in advanced microscopy and chemical imaging at the Faculty of Engineering at SDUs campus in Sønderborg, Denmark. The starting date is 01.05.2024 or soon after.
Maybe you already have experience with chemical imaging and analysis of materials and high-resolution microscopy and are open to collaborating across the German-Danish border and applying your skills in the cultural heritage field.
We are searching for an engaged colleague who will conduct research mainly within the project 'TORCH – Technological Enlightenment to Preserve and Explore Cultural Heritage', supported by the Interreg Deutschland-Danmark 6a programme.
This interdisciplinary project aims to present how engineering, materials science, chemistry, computer science design and creativity can help to reconstruct the past, monitor the condition of monuments and artworks, restore and prevent, and make cultural heritage accessible and attractive to the broader public.
The project brings together key research, technology, and heritage community partners to spot, analyse, and tackle heritage-related challenges.

Salary and terms of employment
Employment as a Postdoc requires scientific qualifications at PhD level.
