R&D Test Engineer

You will play an important role in.

As an R&D test engineer you will:

• Perform R&D and prototype tests on our engines
• Calibrate engines / equipment to meet the expected and correct performance
• Evaluate and report test results
• Communicate test planning and results to our design colleagues
• Plan and oversee build and set-up of test engines
• Travel to our German colleagues for knowledge sharing by presentation of test results
• Occasionally travel to field test vessels for field test tasks
• Will on rare occasions work the evening shift, when needed for reaching our test results 

We imagine that you:

• Are a marine engineer or mechanical engineer maybe with a background in fluid mechanics
• Maybe already have some experience in High Speed Diesel engineering
• Are a team player who can add positively to our great team
• Are curious, innovative and persistent in ways of reaching your set goals
• Have a passion and basic knowhow for engines and engineering
• Have an open-minded and flexible approach to problem solving

Welcome to the R&D Test Team
You will join a team of dedicated engineers who spend their days performing R&D tests, and helping our colleagues in our serial production, when they need assistance in test or assembly. We ensure that our Engines fulfill all legislations in relation to emissions and perform at the market’s highest standards. We are also deeply involved in test on new fuels, Emission Reduction Technology. We are working in close corporation with our design colleagues in Augsburg Germany.

At MAN Energy Solutions Test Centre in Frederikshavn we are testing both our serial produced High Speed Engines and GenSets, as well as our R&D Prototype engines.

We are looking for a colleague in our Team of 10 engineers, for helping us with R&D testing, on both our High Speed Engines but also on special projects on other engines in our portfolio, the occasional field test trip for our fleet of Field Test Vessels and many more exciting tasks.
