About the Opportunity :

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing Knowledge Graph based applications. The successful candidate will not only possess a deep understanding of the biomedical domain but also demonstrate a keen interest in exploring and swiftly adapting emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implementation and maintenance of biological knowledge graphs, databases and related applications.

- Integration of knowledge graph machine learning and biostatistics algorithms into applications.

- Design, implementation, and optimization of systems that incorporate Large Language Models to enhance local knowledge accessibility, including contributing to implementation hands-on.

- Research emerging trends and scientific methods in systems biology and related fields.

Position Requirements

- PhD in bioinformatics / PhD in computer and data science and related fields but with required biological or biomedical exposure / MS in afore mentioned fields with additional industry experience.

- Comprehensive understanding of design principles for biological knowledge graph ie. how to design database for bioinformaticians.

- Proficiency in languages such as Python, R, Java for data manipulation, analysis, and application development.

- Experience designing and implementing systems that leverage LLMs, building LLM applications with vector databases and agent architecture in frameworks like LangChain is a plus.

- Understanding of computational biology and bioinformatics concepts, such as gene expression analysis, pathway and machine learning algorithms.

- Understanding of molecular biology, transcriptomics, genomics and other biological disciplines to effectively develop software solutions for biological data analysis.

- Fluent English with excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm to work in a collaborative, international team environment with an openness to experimentation as well as a passion for exploring new technologies and methodologies.
