General Description:

We are looking for a passionate and empathic colleague, with an entrepreneurial mindset who can challenge the status quo and who can and wants to bring innovative oncological medicines to the Nordic market in a different way.

Ideally you have experience in oncology as well as in medical affairs, an existing network of oncologists and an understanding of the health care systems in the Nordics with relationship to access, based on local and regional guidelines.

You are committed to engaging with key opinions leaders and other experts and professional research organizations to align our internal medical strategy with their research strategy, their local needs and demands in data generation in order to fill in existing data gaps and to deliver the data of our pivotal trials; all to ensure the right data are available to support reimbursement of our medicines, making them accessible for patients with in the solid tumor space.

With your knowledge of oncology, you support healthcare professionals in the treatment of patients suffering oncological diseases by providing them the correct and most up-to-date scientific information, (omnichannel) medical education and other modalities to improve clinical practice.

This position reports to the Medical Director in The Nordics, who reports to the senior Medical Director of the Sub-region Europe, based in Basel. This is a unique opportunity to join BeiGene Nordics in an early stage and to help build the organization, culture and local strategy. Responsibilities

Provide education to the medical community on BeiGene products and disease areas of focus.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute a medical plan designed to meet shared objectives.

Facilitate responses to unsolicited requests for medical information, often in direct collaboration with BeiGene Medical Information Services personnel.

Develop tactics for communicating complex scientific information to the healthcare community.

Provide impactful feedback/information to internal stakeholders on emerging clinical and scientific trends from external interactions to help shape company research, and to ensure the safe and appropriate use of BeiGene products.

Build specific excellence and integrity within the healthcare community. Develop contacts with key clinicians, university teaching hospitals, group purchase organizations and other medical / scientific groups.

Act as a clinical resource with professional and advocacy organizations with the objective of developing relationships and identifying potential business opportunities.

Assist in the development and execution of clinically relevant regional medical meetings (e.g., advisory boards, consultancies, and investigator meetings), as requested.

Identification and verification of investigators and sites for company-sponsored clinical trials

Serve as the primary territory liaison for the submission and review of Investigator- Research proposals, facilitating the process from concept submission through publication and uncover scientific data that may have the potential for publication and/or abstract presentation.

Experience:

Life science degree (preferably MD or PhD) or equivalent professional experience

Some experience in the field as Medical Science Liaison or Medical Advisor within other biotech/pharmaceutical companies, with a track record of developing deep scientific relationships.

Experienced in oncology strongly preferred.

Clinical research experience is creditable.

High level of English communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Valid driver’s license

Capabilities and Competencies:

Good verbal and written communication skills in local language (“scandinavian”).

Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic and global environment.

Strong comprehension of disease states, and knowledge of differential algorithms for treatment decisions and experience in disease states of interest to BeiGene.

A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, a basic knowledge of the country health care systems in the Nordic countries, local pharma industry ethical framework and regional cancer care models and the impact on patient care

A basic understanding of the design and execution of research studies and its strategic implications

Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage projects and/or colleagues in successful implementation of business-critical projects.

High social competence and capacity for teamwork

Location: Sweden, but other locations, i.e., Denmark, Norway, Finland also possible

Education Required:

MD, PharmD., or PhD within a clinical and/or scientific profession (or an

equivalent level of professional, clinical and/or scientific education, training and

experience) preferred.

Travel:

Work related travel required, within the Nordics, as well as to local/national meetings.

Participation at National and International congresses and events

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Computer Skills: MS Office full proficiency

Other Qualifications: Valid driver’s license

Travel: 25% travel nationally and occasional international travel
