DNV is looking for a Senior Hydrogen/PtX Engineer and Business Developer to strengthen our Process/PtX team, who is able to document experience within multiple areas (alternatively highly motivated for personal development within these areas):
As a Senior Hydrogen/PtX engineer and Business Developer you will be close to innovative industries, forward looking companies and creative people within the energy sector, while keeping focus on Process & Technical Safety.
DNV has a broad suite of services that offer ways to streamline and safely direct the development and implementation of new technologies and process to support the complete Hydrogen value chain. From production of energy, green and blue hydrogen, transportation, and storage, to its uses in various applications.
You will be participating in and/or managing multi-discipline projects with a focus on business development, teamwork, technical development and close interaction with our clients. The position will include a large variety of projects and offers great opportunity for personal and professional development. Already today, we are engaged with major clients in the PtX field and project work scopes reach from verification and certification to technical advisory in all technical areas of the PtX spectrum.
The position is suggested as a 50/50 split between Business Development and Hydrogen/PtX Engineer , but can be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience as well as work load.
In this combined role you'll be responsible for:
Project management of minor to medium size projects Participation in tendering, contracting and commercial management for individual projects. Business development and customer focus. Participation in keeping the section updated with necessary knowledge and competence. Travelling including customer visits and surveys (onshore and/or offshore) Design approval (new installations/equipment and repair/modification/replacement projects of existing facilities) Participation in client workshops and at client offices etc. Design review and understanding of rules and regulations. Collaboration with a global pool of DNV's technical experts. Qualifications:
You have experience within energy or low-carbon and renewable fuels projects. You have a degree in mechanical, process/chemical or hydrogen engineering or an equivalent qualification You have an understanding of market drivers and technical challenges in the energy/hydrogen/PtX market area and business development, including: Hydrogen value chain. Process equipment and rotating equipment Project management and experience within business development Emergency shutdown systems (ESD/PSD/F&G) You have experience with production, transportation and storage of hydrogen (PtX) You bring in excellent command of Process Safety Engineering Principles for plants/installations. You can demonstrate effective understanding and application of Safety Regulations and procedures appropriate to industry and geographical areas. You can demonstrate understanding and application of process safety principles in reducing public risk. You have experience and knowledge with Danish or European on- and offshore Knowledge of the EU regulatory gas and power emerging requirements and guidelines is an advantage Personal skills:
