Are you passionate about optimizing operations and maintenance in GMP environments? Are you a skilled maintenance engineer or technician with a knack for managing dynamic and challenging projects?

If you answered 'yes', then we invite you to join us in shaping the future of how we maintain our drug product production facilities and equipment. As a Senior Maintenance Project Manager and Work Package Owner (WPO), you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing maintenance strategies that ensure our facilities operate at peak performance.

You will collaborate closely with Operations and Maintenance teams, as well as global stakeholders, to deliver innovative solutions that surpass our customers' expectations. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on Novo Nordisk's global operations while working in a dynamic and stimulating environment. So, if you're ready to embrace this exciting challenge, apply now and be a part of the team that will revolutionize pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The Position
As a Work Package Owner (WPO) in Fill & Finish Expansions, Tech Standards, you will be an integral part of the Facility & Maintenance department. Alongside other team members, you will chart the tactical and operational course for maintaining Novo Nordisk's new drug product production facilities and equipment.

The WPO will be tasked with constructing the maintenance strategy and execution plan in collaboration with equipment managers, local site maintenance organizations, and suppliers. You will be driving the process from breaking first ground and all the way through to commissioning of the site. This is a complex role, and we expect you to bring a wealth of experience from both maintenance and project management. Ideally, you should have hands-on maintenance experience from a production facility and a background in maintenance project management.

Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a detailed project plan to track progress. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team. Ensure the team is working within the project scope and effectively addressing all technical challenges.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Identify potential issues and proactively propose solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Continually improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Translating technology and equipment decisions into operational procedures (SOP´s) for proper maintaining a GMP facility and equipment.

Moreover, this position involves a high degree of stakeholder management within the organization, including process Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and equipment managers across the program, as well as external partners.

The role will require collaboration with our global sites. To facilitate this, some travel is expected, estimated at 5-7 trips per year.

Our team currently consists of 11 colleagues, including 2 people working specifically on the maintenance package. Our team members come from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. As our team continues to grow, we value and appreciate the unique perspectives and experiences each member brings.

Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you need to have:

  • An academic or technical degree within engineering, life science or similar
  • 3+ years of experience from an operations or maintenance organization, preferably from a pharmaceutical production facility
  • Solid understanding of GMP requirements
  • Experience working with SAP, risk assessments and maintenance plans is a requirement
  • Experience from construction projects is great advantage
  • Ability to communicate complex content in a simple way
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

As an individual, you are naturally proactive and possess a strong personal drive, a quality-oriented mindset, and a passion for creating the "right" solutions while challenging the status quo. You thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills. Furthermore, you have excellent stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to build relationships on a global scale and appreciate both professional and personal diversity.
