Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job-Link is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for one of our international customers

Our customer is a global support organization with the purpose of delivering engineering, supply and project management within a wide range of applications and industries. The company is a global company with offices and employees across the world.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for coordination of the mechanical engineering packages for a number of medium to high complexity projects, as well as to keep and develop our mechanical engineering discipline know-how on a high level.

Your main responsibility will be:

• Reading customer specifications & contractual requirements (NORSOK)
• Understand deviation list & scope of delivery
• Participate in project meetings.
• Work closely with process engineer & give input on P&ID, GA and other technical documents.
• Preparation of TS/RFQs for various components.
• Communication with purchase/suppliers on technical matters.
• Preparation of documents as per document list within time frame.
• Participate in customer meetings along with PM.
• Work in internal document control system Promis . And partly our ERP system Movex.
• Inspection at sub suppliers and participating in test and FAT

Your qualifications and experience:

• Strong mechanical or chemical engineering background
• Several years of practical project experience with process engineering & design work
• General knowledge on vessels, valves, pumps, heat exchangers & instrumentation is an advantage
• Experinece with ASME/EN codes
• You have an interest in Project Management.
• You have a god positive drive mixed with an executing mind set
• Cross-cultural awareness. Fluent written and spoken English
• You are strong in analysis, work systematically, structured and prioritise your assignments.
• You thrive on creating results and solving problems on a high technical level.
