Nilfisk is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior R&D Engineer to join our R&D Competence Center located in Hadsund. This center offers an international and innovative working environment, housing approximately 70 engineers. These dedicated professionals are responsible for Global Hardware/Software, exploring new technologies, and driving the development of professional high-pressure washers and vacuum cleaners for the future.
As part of this dynamic team, you will report directly to the Director of R&D for high-pressure washers & Light Industrial Vacuum cleaners, Kristian Bang Nielsen.

As our new colleague, you will be given leading tasks in the mechanical product development, both on component and system-level from the initial technology study phase to finished products.
Nilfisk has exciting projects lined up to enhance our LIGHT I-Vac & High Pressure Washer platforms. Your competences come into play when designing and verifying metal & plastic injection parts that enhance innovation, robustness, and cost-effectiveness.

Your new team
You will be joining a primary mechanical product development team with overall technical product line responsibility for Light Industrial Vacuum-cleaners & high-pressure washers targeted the professional market. You will be part of an ambitious and well-functioning team, where everyday life is characterized by high well-being and close collaboration to create the strongest product portfolio for the global market.
We value the experience you bring
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you are an experienced R&D-oriented mechanical engineer and have more than five years of experience in technical products development. Your expertise extend to product design in both metal and plastic materials (with a focus on injection molding), as well as an understanding of electromechanical systems.
Additionally, we imagine that you are proficient in CAD (Creo) as this would be key in this position. If you have familiarity with FEM (Finite Element Method), this would be considered an advantage, however this is not a requirement. As you will be communicating with several international colleagues and distributors, we imagine that you speak and write English fluently.
We imagine that based on your great experience; you possess a theoretical foundation complemented by practical experience – as this position will include both the theoretical part as well as hands-on testing. Lastly, we imagine that your work style is structured, and you approach development tasks with analytical precision. It is important in this position to document planning and progress; therefore, we imagine that you feel comfortable doing so – and that you take pride in finishing a task.
