Discovery - Medical & Scientific Expertise Center

We help clients reinvent pharma discovery, elucidate disease biology, innovate novel therapeutics, and accelerate drug development to create breakthrough science and increase the probability of R&D success and patient outcomes. We’re passionate about accelerating transformation in research and early development so clients can build capabilities in programmable biology across therapeutic modalities. Our integrated approach is multidisciplinary and led by science.

What You’ll Do:

Develop systems, tools and products to process scientific data and perform scientific analysis (Implements code according to specification, tests developed code and corrects any issues, release and deploy developed systems to production);

Develop systems in the following technologies/areas; frontend code in Web browser for visualizations and interactions, backend code for API implementations to process, retrieve and store data, web server-based API's, proprietary API's from 3rd party or internally;

Create code using Python and also JavaScript, R, C#, and terminal based programs in Unix or Windows environment as needed;

Use agile framework to plan and track development with tools like JIRA to specify and track tasks, and control code versions using GIT or similar;

Ensure good quality of code by applying unit testing and automated tested when appropriate;

Implement data processing by algorithms from literature and biological data formats like RNASeq Fasta files, DICOM, FCS, VCF, tabular data.

What You’ll Bring:

Master of Science in one of the relevant degrees or similar work experience (3-4+ yrs) in one of the relevant degrees: Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Informatics, possibly other natural sciences;

Must be able to develop in Python (or other high-level language) by having implemented code that processes scientific data in an academic or commercial setting or developed code that provides results that are used by researchers or professionals to make decisions;

Experience in structured development of written specifications of implementation to be done, tested implementation according to specification, and familiar with GIT or similar version control;

Coach and mentor junior members and be a team player with colleagues to solve tasks.
