Our client a leader in Biotechnology development, is looking for a skilled and highly motivated scientist to elevate our antibody-based platform technology endeavours. The ideal candidate will thrive in the dynamic intersection of cutting-edge technology and biology research.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reagents, standards, and control samples.
- Analyse samples using various techniques specific to department.
- Independently design and develop methods.
- Perform method validation or qualification.
- Operate analytical equipment.
- Technical resource for troubleshooting activities; assays and equipment.
- Maintain analytical equipment.
- Review, evaluate, and interpret data results.
- Draft and present posters/presentations.
- Train and mentor lower-level Scientists.
- Collaborate with clients and vendors.
- Ensure lab area is always clean and inspection ready, including removal of lab waste.
- Collaborate across teams, departments, and sites.
- Evaluate and establish processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Record tasks in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Knowledge of regulatory requirements; GLP, GCP, 21CFR Part 11
- Follow applicable SOPs and procedural documents.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Ph.D. in applied physics, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, optics, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience leading research projects or teams.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree may be considered with a substantial track record of experience.
- Ability to motivate and challenge team members in a collaborative setting.
- Familiarity with various optical spectroscopy techniques (e.g., absorption, FTIR, Raman) and spectral interpretation.
- Proficient in statistical methods for experimental design optimization and data analysis, including univariate and multivariate statistical analysis.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot scientific issues using a systematic approach.
- Capability to develop, implement, and launch initiatives related to product changes, new products, and new applications.
- Knowledge of cavity enhanced absorption spectroscopy techniques like ICOS, CRDS, WS-CRDS, OFCEAS, or frequency comb spectroscopy.
- Extensive experience in experimental laboratory work using lasers, detectors, signal processing, and data acquisition (DAQ).
