Site Engineer - Outfitting and Finishing, Germany

At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are looking for a talented Site Engineer to join our Outfitting and Finishing team in delivering the world's longest immersed tunnel for both road and rail traffic.

Who is FLC?

FLC is a joint venture comprised of nine international construction companies, all with extensive experience in large infrastructure projects. Together, we are responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals, and ramps. Our mission is to deliver a state-of-the-art tunnel on time and safely, while also prioritizing sustainability and ethical practices.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Site Engineer at FLC, you will be working closely with the Work Manager to plan and manage various work packages. Your key activities will include:

• Assisting in site installations on the German side
• Overseeing outfitting works at the tunnel entry
• Managing finishing works starting from Germany

In addition to these tasks, you will also be responsible for procurement of subcontracted packages, preparing method statements and site layouts, and creating detailed programs. Your ability to coordinate resources, such as personnel and equipment, will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations.

Skills & Experience:

To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• Previous experience in civil works, preferably 3 to 5 years
• B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and German
• Experience working in a constrained environment
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• Effective communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work in transversal teams and adapt to changing goals
• Creative, flexible, and innovative mindset
• Good judgment and ability to make timely decisions
