The Customer Operations Domain ensures all operations feel effortless for everyone. As part of the Customer Operations Domain, you will work with the Compliance Tech team and Know Your Business group. The group consists of two engineering teams focussed on different operational needs, onboarding, monitoring and customer support. The Compliance Tech team is responsible for developing and managing the platform that powers our compliance and risk management features. As a key member of our team, you’ll have a significant role in elevating Pleo operational excellence in serving customers with varied regulatory and legal requirements.
We’re looking for a leader who sets the standard, not just with their code, but also with the way they work and the culture they promote. The team's scope includes:
- Developing risk rating, entity screening, and KYB engines, enabling accurate and fast assessment of customer profiles and transactions.
- Empowering operational teams to monitor transactions, customer profile evolution, prioritize, and manage alerts and investigations with ease.
Your main responsibilities would include:
- Discovering and solving intricate problems, spanning across teams
- Coaching and mentoring other engineers
- Collaborating with other teams, and communicating the value and benefits of our features and processes.
It’s hard to put a number to how much time you’d be spending on code since it will vary differently from month to month or project to project. That said, initially you can expect to spend between 40% to 60% of your time in code.
You know your way around:
- Cloud environments / distributed systems/microservices (AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes),
- Architecting and building maintainable and scalable solutions,
- Authentication & Authorization for APIs,
- The role and responsibility of an API Gateway,Server-side languages (we mostly use Kotlin and TypeScript but we know you can learn new languages),
- Testing frameworks (Cypress, JUnit, Testcontainers) and principles,
- Observability and monitoring (Datadog).
