Strategic Consultant for the Green Transition

Business analysis, customer contact, strategy reports, and innovative projects within green transition

Do you want to be at the forefront of the green transition and facilitate innovative projects in collaboration with both small technology companies and large international corporations? Then this job is for you.

1st Mile assists customers in finding financing for innovative technology projects, primarily within the green transition.

You will manage your own projects, plan and delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with all deadlines. You will be the project manager and drive the projects you are responsible for, but also project participant in projects that your colleagues are responsible for.

In close collaboration with customers, partners and colleagues, you will help developing and preparing project applications, focusing on the business case, business strategy, economics, and financing.

You will not be responsible for finding new customers as this is taken care of by 1st Mile's owner, Søren Houmøller. However,  you will participate in the sales process, including representing the company in various networks and at conferences.

Working with project applications often occurs in waves with both high and low seasons in the job. Up to application deadlines, you will typically work on three to seven projects simultaneously, and you will be very busy. However, during the low season there will be opportunities to take time off, optimize 1st Mile's processes and methods and compensate for overtime. Also, you can work from home when it fits into the work processes.

1st Mile has the highest success rate in the industry, and you will help them to maintain that.

You come from a position where you develop and write strategies or business cases, either from a private or public company or an organization. Experience in writing applications for funding programs is an advantage but not a requirement.

Also, experience in green energy or energy infrastructure is an advantage but not a requirement.

It is a requirement, however, that your English in writing is at (almost) native level. Communication in the office and in dialogue with customers and partners is in English.

You work independently, structured, and detail-oriented with a focus on meeting tight deadlines. You keep track of several parallel and complex processes with many participants and you ensure that all processes run as planned—whether you are responsible for them or not.
