Khora is an award-winning Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality production studio, creating cutting-edge content within multiple application areas. We are 32 full-time employees, and over the last 8 years, we have produced more than 450 VR/AR applications and hosted more than 1200 workshops and events. We are seeking a new colleague for the position as a Technical Artist. You will be responsible for building applications for VR and AR on mobile, PC, and MAC, based primarily on the Unity framework, but encompassing a wide array of 3D tools and pipelines. Your primary responsibilities will be translating project ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging experiences. A large part of this role is working in between our 3D artists and developers, there is naturally a lot of overlap with this work, but this position is designed to be the glue between these 2 roles. An artistic eye is a must, with a deep technical understanding of current and emerging 3D toolsets. A commitment to collaborative, dynamic problem solving, and an outgoing approach are essential.
Work with Unity scene management, lighting, shader graph and VFX graph.
Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in C#
Write shader code and create complex particle systems and simulations
Working closely with 3D artists and project managers to establish an effective pipeline and have a well-optimized application.
Working within Adobe After Effects and similar comping tools
Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
Excellent knowledge of Unity
Excellent knowledge of C#
Excellent knowledge of game physics and VFX graph
Excellent knowledge of Shader Graph
Experience with 3D modeling, animation and texturing
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprints
Experience with mobile, PC and Mac development
Ability to constantly learn and stay in touch with evolving VR and AR standards and development technologies
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Strong understanding of Unity shaders, Unity Universal Render Pipeline and Unity High Definition Pipeline
Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
Excellent knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT
Have prior experience with VR and AR
3 plus years of working experience
Have experience with Xcode
Have experience with Spark AR
Hold a master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
