VWTS Industry Verticals Sales Team Leader 

You can be based in any of the following locations:  Belgium, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary, Norway, Finland

The Industry Verticals Sales Team Leader is responsible for defining the commercial strategy and making it happen through a team of professionals assigned to one or several Industry Verticals.
Vertical Industries will work around most of the 11 Market Segments Veolia is focusing on. These include Food & Beverage, HPI & CPI, Oil & Gas, Power, Metals & Mining, Pharma, MicroElectronics and Pulp & Paper.

The role reports directly into the Senior Leadership Team, and calls for direct management of the wider Sales Team.
Essentially, we are looking for someone to coach, mentor, manage and develop the team of industry verticals professionals, leading them into key markets and sales strategies.
We have a plan for the subject industries to grow presence and business sustainably.

What are the day to day duties?

  • Work with Senior Leadership to define and develop the key markets and sales strategies
  • Focus on presence in your markets and business sustainably.
  • Own market knowledge, understand trends, define growth potential
  • Create and define sales strategies and business plans 
  • Drive campaigns across EMEA countries
  • Work with Product Management Teams and Solution Architects to create and launch NPI’s 
  • Report NPI & NTI opportunities in equipment, chemicals, monitoring, digital to Product Management
  • Identify opportunities and coordinate strategic campaigns, tracking progress through reviews
  • Develop sales packages, share best practices, and case histories 
  • Join key customer/prospect meetings and support until closure
  • Attend executive reviews at key customer meetings
  • Drive Market Intelligence and ensure a good understanding of competitors
  • Raise Veolia WTS brand awareness by organising seminars, roadshows, and webinars
  • Attend International Conferences
  • Continuously oversee team members training/development and succession planning
  • Deliver Industry training for account and sales manager teams
  • Build the team, create the sense of purpose and land the WTS vision and values 
  • What background and Qualifications would work well in this role?

  • Experience in managing teams and leaders 
  • Demonstrated leadership style with capabilities to accelerate change
  • Able to drive the winning mentality and culture - and committed to team spirit
  • Has the knowhow to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight,
  • Solid industry experience in sales and marketing for equipment and/or services
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, presentation, influencing, facilitation and computer skills
  • Current understanding of VWTS products, services, technologies and applications - or from a similar field
  • Excellent knowledge of the regulatory framework, the sustainability trends and economic performance
  • Able to operate independently to deliver business results.

  • Comfortable in situations where only limited standardisation exists
  • Happy to travel regularly - mostly Europe
