The team you will be part of

Welcome to Group Legal International, part of Corporate Affairs, which supports the whole GN Group world-wide with all legal matters, risk & compliance programs, intellectual property rights, information security and data privacy. A highly skilled and passionate legal function of 15 professionals in Ballerup and 3 professionals in the US all await to welcome you to the team.

As our new Group Legal/Senior Legal Counsel, you will be based at our global HQ located in Ballerup, Denmark and become part of a team in Group Legal International. You will assist and support our diverse business by utilizing your sound judgment, legal knowledge, and expertise across a wide range of areas and different types of tasks.

Your primary area of responsibilities will be supporting on commercial contracts, corporate matters, legal compliance, and other operational and commercial legal matters. You will be part of a business-oriented, passionate, and supportive Corporate & Commercial legal team focusing on providing best-in-class support within all business areas at HQ, EMEA, APAC and LATAM. As part of a diverse organization, you will work with colleagues across the global business becoming a trusted legal advisor to HQ functions, as well as regional stakeholders around the world.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

Depending on previous experience, either be or develop into becoming an expert in corporate and commercial legal matters

Drive and provide advice on all legal aspects related to commercial contracts including distribution agreements, supplier agreements, logistics agreements, financial support agreements, service agreements, consultancy agreements, IT-contracts, SaaS agreements, and NDA’s

Handle matters related to GN’s global corporate structure and corporate governance

Handle and manage disputes with and without external counsel

Provide advice on competition law, ESG matters, packaging, quality and other product, distribution or compliance related matters

Manage internal and external stakeholders while leading legal negotiations

Be a proactive legal business partner to various business functions (including sales, operations, procurement, product management, after market services)

Train and provide tools to the organization on legal topics relevant to strengthen operational excellence

Manage and update contract templates and other corporate documents

To succeed in the role, we imagine that:

You hold a master’s degree in law (a Danish will be considered an advantage)

You are positive, proactive, structured and have a can-do mentality with a natural instinct to take responsibility, set a direction, prioritize, and drive a process

You are pragmatic and open-minded in your approach to solving challenges and finding solutions

You have a high level of personal integrity and openness that can facilitate a constructive work environment where trust, respect, and mutual consideration are key

You have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Danish
