Job Description
Task & Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining and implementing the Health, Safety, Environment, Pollution prevention, Quality and Compliance standards.Monitor evolving changes to the International IMO, Class, Flag State, Oil Major and other applicable regulations, and requirements and assist in maintaining the Legal Register.Liaise with the Technical and Marine team to develop continual improvements to the IMS (SMS) procedures based on vessels feedback, learning from incidents, new requirements, changing technologies, market needs, inspection/audit feedback and specific customer requirements.Assist in reviewing and analyzing the investigations of major accidents in co-ordination with the Technical and Safety team and help in promulgating learnings from them across the fleet.Monitor, collate, analyze key performance indicators that reflect company's performance on HSEQ/C matters.Plan and execute the conduct of annual internal office audits for compliance with the ISM standards.Prepare training materials in co-ordination with the Learning & Development team to disseminate and train our seafarers.Framing and executing Safety Campaigns on board vessels and in the office.Supervising Fleet Audit Program in Accordance with ISM StandardsSupport in preparing the company for ISO audits, being responsible for arranging / executing external and Internal ISO audits to ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001 standards for all affiliated company offices (ISO 14001 including vessels).Monitor evolving changes to the applicable ISO standards and requirements and propose the action plan for review to the Fleet Manager, HSEQ/C.Qualifications
Requirements:
Holding Master Mariner or Marine Engineer Class 1 Certificate of Competency and/or Degree in Nautical or Engineering Study.Sailing experience as a Master or Chief Engineer on LPG / Ethylene / Ethane VesselsExperience of 1 year or more as a Marine Manager or Ship Manager or similar with 5 plus years in the Marine industry.Ability to travel at short notice and manage 24/7 on call lifestyle.Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Fluent in written and spoken English.Committed and responsible in meeting deadlines with excellent time management skills.Independent, outcome driven, organized and resourceful.Strong team orientation and has the ability to manage cross-functional relationships in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
