What's behind the title?

As our new Lead Architect, you will join an experienced and passionate cross-functional scrum team (Product Owner, Product Designer, Tech Lead, Front-, Back-end developers, Scrum Master, and Business Consultants) and support shaping the product roadmap and building new features and solutions.

Moreover, your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the architecture and foundational frameworks that underpin Digital Health Solution's mobile offerings
• Collaborating closely with software engineer colleagues to create applications that excite and engage the end-users
• Iterating over ambiguous/undefined requirements with colleagues until they are sufficiently understood and defined to be worked on
• Advocating for agile ways of working in and across the company

Novo Nordisk continues to build and invest in in-house digital solutions, and as a Lead Architect, you will play an instrumental role in partnering with the business to bring these solutions to life, through the development of Cloud Native applications.

Which competencies to bring

For you to be successful in this role, we believe that you to tick most of the following:

• Around 5+ years of experience in Cloud and Backend Software development, preferably working with advanced functionality in Microsoft’s Azure platform
• Demonstrable aptitude and interest for stakeholder management, within a cross-functional environment, as well as great communication skills
• Passion for building applications and products on C#/.NET, leveraging micro services, entity framework, and queues
• Comfortability working with SQL and NoSQL in a scalable fashion
• Knowledge of designing systems where data structures are distributed across systems and need to be updated independently, eventually resolving inconsistencies around the datasets

Furthermore, you are comfortable following a DevOps methodology and a Development Process that leverages pull requests, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous deployment. Along with this, you prefer code that is legible and descriptive over code that tries to be clever.

Digital Health Solutions (DHS) is a part of Digital, Data & IT and collaborates closely with Digital Health to develop, deliver, and maintain end-to-end innovative digital products to patients globally living with diabetes and other chronic diseases. DHS is responsible for the IT part of developing and maintaining Digital Health products. These front-end solutions are directly used by patients and Healthcare Professionals, as well as the back-end services and systems that supports them.
