The customer portfolio will reach from smaller individual customers & distributors to large international customers where Key Account Management experience will come in handy.

How you will make an impact

In this role, you are responsible for some of our largest accounts. Towards the customers, you represent AFI business unit Food and thus a large portfolio, focusing on ingredients to Dairy, Bakery, Beverage, Confectionary, and other general food applications.

Thus, you collaborate with many different partners internally as well as at your customers where our ingredients are used in a diverse range of products. All in all, you use your business acumen to:

  • Drive, maintain and follow up on sales activities
  • Manage, map and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Obtain, build and maintain a thorough knowledge of your customes business
  • Develop and execute on short- and long-term sales plans and prepare sales strategies and market entry strategies
  • As a person you have a commercial curiosityand have a flair for numbers and work in a structured way with your assignments. As you will be operating in a truly international environment, you will need extraordinarily good communication skills to appreciate different cultures, as well as the ability to cooperate with people at all levels.

    What will make you successful

    Working in a very broad and complex stakeholder environment, you will need to be great at navigating and communicating with all kinds of people – from line operators to CEOs and specialists in marketing, NPD and R&D. To do so requires a special kind of energy from a sociable and extrovert professional, who is ready to motivate people and engage in all kinds of projects. Your qualifications:

  • You have several years of experience within a relevant business either doing food ingredients sale or working as a key account manager, category manager or similar
  • You have a strong commercial drive and BTB sales experience, preferably within the ingredients industry.
  • You may have a technical (e.g. dairy engineer or food technician) and/or a commercial background
  • Most importantly, you have a strong business acumen and understand how to convey this commercially
  • You can travel approx. 50-60 days a year
  • You communicate effortlessly in English and other language skills will be welcomed
  • You have a proven record of working systematically with both small and big customers in a long term strategic business and you must be able to handle varying workloads, keep calm when things are hectic and stand your ground when the going gets tough. Furthermore, you are driven by results and are capable of obtaining the best possible deals through professional and authoritative negotiations.
