Are you experienced in leading a team of L&D specialists designing and delivering learning solutions across all levels of a global organisation? VELUX is seeking a people manager who shares our vision to grow our finest asset - our people.
You will work out of the VELUX headquarters in Hørsholm and become part of the People & Organisation (P&O) function in VELUX, where you will be leading the People & Leadership Development team within our P&O Development department also covering areas such as Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Talent Management & Development, Organisational Review & Design, People Engagement, Global Employer Branding and Digital Collaboration. You will report directly to the VP of our Development department. The atmosphere in the team is informal yet ambitious, with an emphasis on ensuring a positive team spirit and positive results.
Your Challenges
As global head of People & Leadership Development, you will be an important contributor to continuously developing and driving our people development agenda bringing out the best in everyone and creating conditions for all employees to thrive, develop their unique talents, and deliver their best performance.
In close collaboration with your team and the VP of P&O Development your primary tasks will be to:
Liaise with your colleagues in the HRBP community, identify the development needs of the business, and define the development agenda in VELUX to support the realizing of VELUX sustainability and growth aspirations.
Present and promote the People & Leadership agenda to key stakeholders ensuring buy-in.
Orchestrate the development and execution of learning initiatives to ensure high learning and development experiences.
Oversee the People & Leadership Development project portfolio and be responsible for defining the scope of key projects, deliverables, and KPIs.
Design and facilitate workshops and coordinate various training programs both face-to-face and virtually.
Lead and motivate the People & Leadership development team.
We work flexibly within the team and are considerate of work-life balance. You can expect to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally.
Your qualifications
As a person, you are solution-oriented and have great interpersonal- and leadership skills. You have a positive approach to improving and adjusting current learning methods, building solid people processes, and have a deep understanding of future people development solutions. You enjoy leading teams, working together with colleagues in People & Organisation, and collaborating with colleagues in cross-functional teams.
Moreover, we expect that you:
Have solid experience in People & Leadership Development as well as proven leadership experience.
Share the VELUX values and apply an inclusive leadership style.
Ability to effectively communicate and develop relationships with stakeholders across all levels to explore and understand their business challenges and development needs.
Appetite and skills to utilize new digital opportunities and design innovative solutions that are applicable and scalable.
Can set the direction for the team, prioritise activities, and possess proven leadership and project management skills.
Are not afraid of being on stage and have a good proven history facilitating learning activities and workshops.
Are fluent in written and spoken English.
Have experience working in a global organization.
Preferably hold a Master’s degree within a relevant field.
