The Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation invites applications for a 3-year-part time position as a teaching assistant professor/teaching associate professor for architecture and strategic design.

Future designers and architects face complex societal challenge, and it is important for them to cultivate robust networks and collaborations while also possessing advanced strategic, analytical, and digital competencies. Emerging partnerships present opportunities that architects and designers translate into tangible solutions addressing the needs of users, consumers, and citizens. Consequently, we seek a forward-thinking and highly skilled professional with substantial experience from architectural practice, capable of teaching architecture and interdisciplinary collaborations within design processes and committed to disseminating knowledge while enriching a dynamically evolving professional domain.

Teaching will primarily be conducted within the Master's program in Strategic Design and Entrepreneurship.

The vacant position is affiliated with the Institute of Architecture and Design. We hope to fill the position by August 1st or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Institute

At the Institute of Architecture and Design, we educate both architects and designers. With artistic methodology as our point of departure, architecture at a human scale and design within spatial contexts, we train professionals who contribute to solving the complex challenges of the future. Our teaching and research bridge the realms of design and architecture, engaging closely with businesses, organizations, and society.

Both our research and educational programmes are distinctly driven by our desire to create meaningful change. We offer two bachelor programs: Helhed og Del and Product+, as well as four master's programs: Spatial Design, Strategic Design & Entrepreneurship, Furniture Design, and Fashion, Clothing & Textiles. Additionally, the institute oversees the Royal Academy's teaching withing digital and analogue drawing.

Strategic Design & Entrepreneurship is a two-year English-language master's program offered in collaboration with the Copenhagen Business School (CBS). The program educates architects, designers, and social scientists.
