The position

We are looking for a purchaser with a high-quality mindset and with a desire to take part in the Supply Chain to conduct clinical trials at Novo Nordisk. If this sounds like you, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
As part of Novo Nordisk, Chemical, Manufactoring, Control (CMC) Development & Scaling we make a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. CMC´s key deliveries are to develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates, and we assure, that patients for all Novo Nordisk non-clinical and clinical trials receive trial products at the right time, amount, and quality.

In the Position as a Operational Procurement Professional, the main tasks will be:

• Timely ordering of materials and Drug Product incl comparators within responsibility of our department, according to corporate requirements and policies
• Close collaboration with our external vendors and internal stakeholders including follow up on delivery of orders and escalation to production planner, vendor responsible, management and sourcing specialist
• Drive or participate in process optimisation tasks and projects
• Ensure anchoring of process optimisation tasks and projects in relevant operational SOP and guidelines or training material
• Contribute to cLEAN activities with use of LEAN Tools i.e., VSM, A3, SIPOC etc.
• Update comparator price lists and giving input to risk assessments 
• Timely handling of vendor complaints and customer complains
• Relevant documentation for purchased goods is collected in due time and timely up-date of KPI’s within purchaser responsibilities

Qualifications

You hold a master’s degree within Life Sciences such as pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, Supply Chain Planning or similar. You need to be able to handle complex tasks, keep several balls in the air simultaneously, and have a high-quality mindset. Previous working experience within GxP regulated processes is a great advantage. 
Ideally, you have:

• 2-3 years of experience within procurement or comparator sourcing from a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of how to navigate in a GMP regulated field with several stakeholders.
• Knowledge about Supply Chain and Lean principles.
• Experience with documentation; skills within written documentation such as work instructions, training material, change requests and deviations.
• Fluent in English, and if you speak Danish it is a great advantage.

Personally, you seek simple and effective solutions and see continuous improvement as a natural part of processes, and you are familiar with various LEAN principles. 
You are a team player and find motivation when reaching common goals. 
 

About the department

Clinical Supplies Supply Chain Planning is a part of Clinical Supplies in CMC Development. We are responsible for the overall planning of the production, packaging, and distribution of products for all Novo Nordisk clinical trials worldwide.

The department consist of five teams, supporting the execution of clinical trials by forecasting/monitoring product demand, ordering product etc, planning the packaging/shipping of Trial Products and supporting the overall trial conduct at the clinical sites with a focus on trial product related processes and systems.
